| 2007 Season Recap |
| The 2007 version of the O'Reilly Southern
Nationals Series was a huge success, as the third-year series hosted ten
Dirt Late Model events in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia,
and Tennessee. Even with Mother Nature threatening most of the shows this
year, nine of the races were officially put into the record books. Chris
Madden, of Gray Court, South Carolina, made a huge impact on the series,
as he won six races en route to his first O'Reilly Southern Nationals
Series Championship!
Three drivers were able to break Madden's stranglehold of the series, as Jimmy Sharpe won at the Screven (GA) Motor Speedway, Randy Weaver won at the Cleveland (TN) Speedway, and Jimmy Owens won at the Volunteer (TN) Speedway. Chris "Smokey" Madden was able to record the Championship over a strong list of competitors including second place Dennis Franklin, third place Brandon Kinzer, fourth place Josh McGuire, and fifth place John Blankenship.
