| 2007 Series Recap |
The 2007 version of the O'Reilly Southern
Nationals Series was a huge success, as the third-year series hosted
ten Dirt Late Model events in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina,
Georgia, and Tennessee. Even with Mother Nature threatening most of
the shows this year, nine of the races were officially put into the
record books. Chris Madden, of Gray Court, South Carolina, made a huge
impact on the series, as he won six races en route to his first O'Reilly
Southern Nationals Series Championship! [more]

| 2006 Series Recap |
With the 2006 version of the Southern
Nationals Series officially in the books, series promoter Ray Cook would
like to thank all of the drivers, track promoters, sponsors, and most
of all, the fans, for participating in this year's tour. Anthony White,
of Clinton, Tennessee, became the second Southern Nationals Series point
champion in as many years, as he was able to best Brandon Kinzer, Dennis
Franklin, Casey Roberts, and Damon Eller. Just like in the inaugural
year in 2005, the 2006 edition of the series was ultra-competitive.

| 2005 Series Recap |
The inaugural version of the Southern
Nationals Series is in the books and in promoter Ray Cook's eyes; the
series was a "big success." The series was thrown together
in only a couple of months and featured eight events at eight different
venues in a ten day stretch. The opening night of racing action, Thursday
night, July 21, at the Lavonia (GA) Speedway was unfortunately rained
out, but the next seven events saw seven different drivers reach victory
lane. Those that were fortunate enough to claim wins on the tour did
so by driving a variety of different chassis makes. In addition, both
Hoosier Racing Tires and American Race Tire was the tire of choice for
the winners on several different occasions. When all the dust had settled
last Saturday night at the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee,
the series had an inaugural champion: Jeff Cooke of Spartanburg, South
Carolina. [more] |
