Brandon Overton Tames Tri-County Race Track for First Tarheel 50 Victory

Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series Adds October 26 Event at 311 Motor Speedway to Schedule

(August 27, 2019) Officials with the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels has added an event at the Mike Fulp-promoted 311 Motor Speedway in Pine Hall, North Carolina to the 2019 schedule. The NASCAR Weekend “Grassroots Racing” special near Martinsville (Va.) Speedway will run Saturday October 26th paying $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start for the Fall Nationals competitors.

In addition to the Fall Nationals Late Models on Saturday October 26, the 604 Crate Late Models ($1,000-to-win), the 602 Crate Late Models ($1,000-to-win), the 602 Open Wheel Modifieds ($1,000-to-win) and the U-Cars ($500-to-win) will all be on the racing card running last chance and feature events. The preliminary action for the support classes plus and open practice session for the Super Late Models will be on Friday October 25. On October 26, track officials have announced that ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $30.00 per person for this mega event along with $40.00 per person in the pits. The gates are scheduled to open at 2:00 pm on October 26 and racing action will begin around 7:00 pm. The Fall Nationals competitors will have a full show of hot laps, qualifying, heat races, last chance races and the 60-lap main event. | full story

Schaeffer’s Oil Spring, Southern & Fall Nationals Series Release 2019 Race Schedules

(December 7, 2018) The 2019 schedules for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series and the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series were revealed on Friday Morning during the 31st Annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Indianapolis, Ind. Total purses, points funds and nightly bonuses are nearly $900,000 for the three Ray Cook-promoted tours while remaining the original premier set of regional racing series in the United States.

On the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V., which is beginning its first full season of competition, features scheduled dates from August until November with a couple of TBA dates. The Tazewell Speedway event on September 1 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. The series schedule is highlighted by four-$10,000-to-win events. David Payne of Murphy, N.C. is the defending Bonus Series points champion. The Bonus Series now becomes the Fall Nationals. | full story

New Fall Nationals Tour will Absorb Southern Nationals Bonus Series for 2019 Racing Season

(November 20, 2018) Last Saturday’s Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV event that was rained out at Boyd’s Speedway ended a five year run. The Fall Nationals Series will run in place of the Bonus Series beginning in 2019.

Starting in August of 2019, the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will begin and run through the month of November. A 10-15 race schedule is currently being finalized and will be released at the PRI Trade Show in early December along with the Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals Series schedules. | full story
