Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series Opens with Action at Smoky Mountain and North Georgia

(August 12, 2019) The Inaugural edition of the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels will kick off in a huge way on Friday August 16 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. followed by Saturday August 17 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Ga.

On Friday August 16th at the Smoky Mountain Speedway, the Fall Nationals Late Models will race for $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start. In addition, the Durrence Layne Late Models will race for $2,000-to-win, the Limited Late Models will race for $1,200-to-win followed by the Sportsman racing for $800-to-win. Adult general admission is $20.00 per person with tier parking $25.00 per person and $35.00 in the pits. The pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, the grandstands and tier parking will open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:35 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm.

On Saturday August 17 at the North Georgia Speedway, the Fall Nationals Late Models will race for $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start. In addition, the Red Clay 602 Late Models will race for $1,000-to-win. The Crate Late Models, B-Hobby, Pony/FWD and Beginner classes will all be in action. Adult general admission is $25.00 per person with trackside/spectator fence parking and $40.00 in the pits. The pit gates will open at 3:00 pm, the grandstands and tier parking will open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm. | full story

Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series Adds August 31 Date at Thunderhill Raceway Park

(June 13, 2019) Officials with the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels have boosted the Labor Day Weekend by the addition of a Saturday August 31st event.

On Saturday August 31, the tour will make a stop at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tenn. racing 40 laps for $5,000-to-win and $450-to-start to open the double-header Labor Day Weekend. Then on Sunday Night September 1, the tour will visit Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tenn. racing 44 laps for the 11th Annual Buddy Rogers Memorial paying $5,044-to-win and $450-to-start. The Tazewell event will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series. | full story

Schaeffer’s Oil Spring, Southern & Fall Nationals Series Release 2019 Race Schedules

(December 7, 2018) The 2019 schedules for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series and the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series were revealed on Friday Morning during the 31st Annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Indianapolis, Ind. Total purses, points funds and nightly bonuses are nearly $900,000 for the three Ray Cook-promoted tours while remaining the original premier set of regional racing series in the United States.

On the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V., which is beginning its first full season of competition, features scheduled dates from August until November with a couple of TBA dates. The Tazewell Speedway event on September 1 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. The series schedule is highlighted by four-$10,000-to-win events. David Payne of Murphy, N.C. is the defending Bonus Series points champion. The Bonus Series now becomes the Fall Nationals. | full story

New Fall Nationals Tour will Absorb Southern Nationals Bonus Series for 2019 Racing Season

(November 20, 2018) Last Saturday’s Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV event that was rained out at Boyd’s Speedway ended a five year run. The Fall Nationals Series will run in place of the Bonus Series beginning in 2019.

Starting in August of 2019, the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will begin and run through the month of November. A 10-15 race schedule is currently being finalized and will be released at the PRI Trade Show in early December along with the Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals Series schedules. | full story
